Puneites are known for their love of malls. There are several malls in different parts of the city that are usually frequented by people living in the same vicinity. Though, some malls transcend these boundaries and people love to go to them irrespective of the distance. Sharing below some of my favourite malls in the eastern part of Pune – their unique vibes and some hot tips!
Phoenix Market City
Phoenix Market City is not just a mall, it’s an experience. It is a must visit for folks whether you’re visiting Pune or are a local here. It’s probably the largest mall in Pune and has a great vibe!
Whether you’re looking to shop, have an outing where you don’t need to negotiate potholes or weather the rain, or simply ‘chill’ with your tribe, make a trip to Phoenix Market City – you won’t regret it. This week the mall celebrates its 11th anniversary and has a host of events and discounts.
The unique thing about Phoenix is the fact that you can get literally everything under the sun all at the same place – from luxury watches to diamond jewellery to everyday groceries. It’s great that one has access to multiple brand stores which helps when you want to compare products before buying. With every brand available here shopping is a treat, PVR movie theatre, bowling alleys, arcade and fun zones and many fabulous restaurants ensure you can spend the whole day blissfully.

Getting to Phoenix Market City Pune
Creaticity Mall (erstwhile Ishanya mall)
Creaticity is probably the only mall in Pune with maximum stores that cater to home furnishings, decor and furniture. It’s helpful if you are pursuing a home renovation project. While in its heyday, this mall was always buzzing with activities, nowadays you can have a peaceful shopping experience. The cafes and restaurants all offer outdoor seating options that have a good vibe if the weather is good. SkyJumper – a trampoline park is great for kids to hang out while you shop. The place also has a laser tag game arena.
Hot Tip – They have a beautiful amphitheatre and stage jazz shows, plays and other interesting musical and various performing art shows. Check out what’s going on there on their website. Combine it with your shopping trip for a delightful outing.
Amanora Mall
Amanora is a well spread out mall with stores across different buildings, one does not end up feeling claustrophobic here. This mall offers the most unique promenade right at the heart of the mall. It’s outdoors with a water fountain and seating all around. They often have shopping bazaars with interesting stalls here during the weekend. This is probably one of the few malls where you can go automobile shopping too! Hyundai Cars and Harley Davidson Bikes have their showrooms here. While your better half is shopping for clothes you could check out the automobiles – a win-win situation! For the movie lovers, INOX theatre is here too. Another store that I haven’t seen in any other mall, except Amanora, is the Patanjali Superstore.
Hot Tip – If you just need to pick up something from a store like grocery or an altered pair of jeans as an example but don’t want to go through the whole parking queues and time consuming effort to go to the store – Amanora offers Concierge services. Seasons
Of the list above, Seasons is probably the smallest of them all. But good things come in small packages and this mall sees good footfall and some loyal clientele. The food court and restaurants here are a popular draw. Some names like TGIF, Wah Marathi, Global Punjab, only have outlets at the Seasons Mall.
Another interesting store that only has a store at Seasons mall, is Venus Traders. Venus is a great place for all your art and stationery needs. If you are an art enthusiast, you must check out the store.
For the cine and movie lovers, Cinepolis at Seasons mall has just introduced a 4DX movie experience. Imagine seeing Top Gun in 4DX or even Fast and Furious series and literally smell and feel the rubber burning! Now that would be a treat!
Hot Tip – Jagtap nursery, has a small outlet at the mall’s basement parking. While the main nursery is in the adjacent building, this is a great pit stop if you’re looking to quickly supplement your plant / potting needs without stepping out of the way.
